Kamahi Apartments
Merivale, Christchurch
This was Swift Designs largest project to date. We were engaged by an Auckland based Developer, who’s intention was to completely renovate the building in order to sell each apartment separately. The building was a post earthquake repair that had been left untouched for 6 years post the 2011 Christchurch earthquakes.
The buildings’ layout of eight storeys with a clear division of East and West wings and two penthouse apartments, gave our three colour concepts the chance to shine. All concepts were selected for their appeal to a large market while keeping costs to a minimum.
Swift Designs provided all concept plans, detailed drawings and specifications for the kitchens, bathrooms and laundry areas. We also selected and managed the quoting and supply of all soft furnishings, flooring, tile, lighting and kitchen joinery. Paint specifications for interior and exterior colours were also provided, giving this iconic building a modern, fresh look for the decades to come. We worked along side of commercial trades people including, Project Managers, Fire Engineers, Landscape Architects, Painters, Tilers, Plumbers and Capenters to ensure the success of the project.

After meeting Treena Swift, I decided that I need not look any further for a company to give me concepts and colour schemes for the Interior and Exterior of my 8 storey block of apartments at 18 Carlton Mill Road, Merivale, Christchurch.
